Curious about Portsmouth and its military history? Then join this tour with Dr Lillian Cespedes Gonzalez. She is a local tour guide and historian (PhD). Throughout this journey you will dive into the history of the city that is deeply buried under trauma, tragedies and war. We will explore the seafront and pier in the area of Southsea, engaging with memorial from different wars and naval heritage. We will also see the fortifications that date back to the time of Henry V, as well as the cathedral and a relevant local monuments. The tour will also take us through the area of Gunwharf to see the famous Spinnaker Tower, have a drink or indulge in some shopping.
